Peter Chang's Scott Addition

Been to the Short Pump location many times. This was my first visit to this downtown Richmond onem very different vibe here and I liked it a lot. Dry fried eggplant is my litmus test for Szechuan food and PC's is the best there is in my opinion. Crispy on the outside, warm creamy eggplant inside, perfect balance of hot chilis and numbing Szechuan pepper - the Platonic ideal of DFE. Service is flawless and friendly. Nice selection of local beers. Cool crowd. The only child here was so well behaved I didn't even realize that she was there until they were leaving.

Since our first visit to the Charlottesville location years ago, Peter Chang's has been our favorite Asian cuisine anywhere. The dishes are incredibly rich with flavors you just cannot get elsewhere. Everything is reasonably priced and the staff is attentive and ready to serve. The atmosphere in the Scott's Addition location is our favorite.

Food is excellent. Fresh, flavorful, and definitely not your typical, greasy Chinese food. Service is just ok though. On our second visit, we arrived on a Saturday night around 5:30pm, and were told a 20 minute wait. After 30 minutes, we asked how much longer. They did not know. Tables took forever to get cleaned, and the two very young hosts were either new or clueless. They were not organized and two other couples were as frustrated as we were. After 40 minutes, we left. Don't expect good service on Fri or Saturday nights.

Big shout out to Heidi she was extremely helpful taking my order. Knowledgeable, kind and polite.... Food was fantastic !!!! Will be definitely coming back here for sure.....

We moved here from Northern Va a year ago and tried Scots edition Peter Chang. So good! The menu recently changed and there seems to be way fewer options, which is fine. I like that anything on the menu (just about) can be made gluten free. The restaurant interior decor is colorful, vibrant, and festive, and they also offer quick and easy take out if you prefer.

First time at this location and had a great lunch Sat. afternoon. Menu is a little different than Short Pump, but the food seemed just as good. Beef hot pot was a happy accident, mapo tofu was amazin and pecan shrimp was worth every bite. Good service, and everything was well seasoned.

Amazing Chinese food, I've been to Hong Kong and Shanghai and had real othentic Chinese food. This place remind me of that amazing taste and smell of the food. The service is excellent. This is a place I visit often.

We had been regulars at this location before the virus lockdown. The food was always exceptional. We ordered takeout during the lockdown and it was extremely disappointing. The vegetable lo main was so salty it was almost inedible and the fried dumplings just were not the same as as our dine in experience. Not sure we’ll be doing back.

Delicious food-fresh, flavorful and not too heavy or oily. The beef hot pot was great. The double cooked chicken was just the right amount of heat and great flavor. Get the cucumber salad-delicious and huge!!

Clean, quick service, friendly staff, good portions for price. Happily surprised with the flavor and spice levels. Reasonable options for a variety of palates/diets but the menu seems more limited than the west end location. Full bar. Difficult to find in moving traffic and parking can be limited depending on the time of visit.

Authentic Chinese cuisine, made fresh and traditionally. Beautiful restaurant for a fancy date night. Five stars.

The food is amazing. The atmosphere is loud and exciting so don't expect a quiet, romantic dinner. Do expect scrumptious meals that you will be talking about for days.

Born and raised much of the journey in China and if you like Hunan and flavor this is a solid spot. Dumplings are average but some of the traditional dishes are solid.

The food is just fantastic! They have a lot of unique in new variations on the Chinese food. Most is served family style so it's kind of cool that everyone can order something different and then you can try different things. The staff is very helpful in selecting in answering any questions. The food comes extremely quick, except for a few things. We ordered some soup bones and the waitress told us they would take about 20 minutes for them to come out. I've been here a few times I've always enjoyed the food, and haven't had a bad experience yet. Would highly recommend!

Great time. Definite respect for being open on Christmas. It was an hour wait but was able to sit at the bar right away. Ordered the crispy pork belly and a seafood meal. The pork belly was a little too oily for my taste but the entree was great. Met a lot of nice people and the bartender was nice and attentive. Will be back

i find this place romantic with good ambiance. great for quick chat or for business dinner. the service is good overall. the foods we ordered were delicious. someof their menus are good for two to many. clean restroom. parking is on the side of the road which is always full i think but you can find some space at the back, you’ll just gonna walk a little bit to reach the restaurant.

Food tasted great and the restaurant had a good vibe. The menu was smaller than the one in Williamsburg but still good. I took 2 stars away because of parking. There is about 4 spots in front but if you don't get those wear walking shoes and don't park in the empty lot next door because they tow or charge $10

Always a great place to hit while in Richmond! Definitely order the bubble pancake. The hot and sour soup was terrific. I ordered the black pepper steak and it was great!

Food was great but I don't think they have fountain drinks.

Awesome dining experience. This is not some fast food Chinese restaurant. Great menu selections for all tastes. Meals were fresh ingredients and very flavorful. Nice selections for drinks as it also has a full service bar.

Phenomenal food. Best hot and sour soup anywhere. Never left unsatisfied. You often bed to wait for a table but always worth it.

It does taste delicious. I’ve only gotten old food once. And that’s because I ordered delivery when it was about to close.

This place has flavorful and unique foods. Everything is not only beautifully seasoned but also well presented. The meat eaters of the group strongly recommend the crispy pork belly appetizer, and we all loved the novelty of the bubble pancake.

Excellent Szechuan cuisine, good vibe, and knowledgeable staff. The Soup dumplings are amazing. I enjoyed the Twice Cooked Pork Belly and it was great.

Another great addition to Richmond restaurant scene. The short pump location was always very crowded, this location is not. The setting is not the greatest but the food makes up for it. They know how to do Chinese food . Great job guys.

Great staff and wonderful experience. Had the mapo tofu. Not as spicy as advised although personally love spice so might be accurate for a normal preference of spice. Went for a birthday and split bill was easy considering we had a large group and again staff was very patient and capable throughout our dining

We were the first customers the day we went. Staff was very nice and helpful, everything was super clean and organized. The food came out on time and was absolutely delicious.
